Carrabelle Snapper

Post by John21:6 »

Fishing for red snapper out of Carrabelle yesterday started out slowly. So we kept some smaller 19-20” snappers thinking that might be all we would catch. Of course, once we caught our limit, we began catching a lot of much bigger snapper while trying to catch gag grouper.

When the snapper were biting, we had the most success with live pin fish and frozen LYs.

I also fished out of Carrabelle yesterday the 28th. Yes the bite was slow I guess because of full moon. We did manage our red snapper limit plus couple grey snappers, mangroves. All fish were caught on live pinfish, or fresh dead.

Those are some huge hotspots in those snapper. I’d be upset if someone treated my fish like that.. John,, glad you were able to find a few. Thanks for the report
