I went yesterday evening, minimal seagrass, about 20 minutes of action and then...nothing. Caught 26”ish red and a nice keeper trout. Catch and release

We went, the spaghetti grass (real thin grass) was bad most of the day and made plug fishing harder. And wind picked up after lunch, bite seemed to stop after that. Got to try out the new drift sock, it helped.

Too windy to go for snapper, which was the original plan. Fished the flats for a while, lots of short trout and floating grass. One keeper. Decided to try the offshore, but it was choppy and we just made it as far as St Marks reef. My buddy caught his personal best Spanish Mackeral (about 30 inches) and a keeper flounder plus several small ones. Once we caught our fifth remora and nothing else we decided to pack it in.

Left the fort before daylight and it was a solid 2 to 3 with a few 4s here and there. Fished S of the S Tower, 14 RS, 7 Lane, 1 Mangrove and 4 Red Grouper. The wind did lay some but it never really calmed down. Still great to get back out again.

Didn't venture far offshore, but fished the flats successfully.

We put in at Econfina at about 10:30 on Saturday and slowly made our way out to about 65 feet. Had to run directly into about a one foot swell but once we were out there it was beautiful. Snapper and boats everywhere in that particular area. Bait everywhere with Bonita smashing them. Have never seen so many. No keeper grouper only short reds.

I was on the flats Saturday and Sunday afternoon east of the lighthouse. It was a little choppy, but not too bad. Caught 2 BSBs and a trout Saturday and 1 flounder Sunday. Beautiful weather!

We left Panacea around 8AM and ran 15kts in 2-3 seas just west of V Tower.

Ha, cute. But you are a thief. Fact... Nothing worse than a thief. Except maybe one that doesn’t know how to ice fish..
