Post by wishin2bfishin »

Anyone been to the Aucilla recently? Wondering if the fish have made it into the river yet.
Thanks

Hmmm. Idk know about the fish, I haven’t tried for the 300 boats anchored right next to one another.

They were in there week before last. Don't know about now, the cold weather should bring them back in.

Trout are scattered but quite a few in the river. I don't think they are there in numbers yet but you can catch a limit if you work at it. Suspended Mirrors lures worked best the last couple of days. Sinking lures didnt work at all. The cold front should add to the numbers. We caught fish from high tide to low.

We did make it out. Opted for The Fenholloway instead of Aucilla. Found trout in creeks wanted Catch 2000 and Mirro Lures.
North wind kept the water out and almost made me motor to Econfina because of the sorry ramp at Fenholloway.
FWC were waiting for all when we got to the ramp.
Overall a good day, beside cold.
