Dog Island/Lanark/Carrabelle

Post by Boudreux »

Went out to Dog Island today for mothers day. First time I've been out there in years. It was just as nice as I remember. We stayed on the bay side and did the family thing. Saw a lot of boats coming in and out with fishing gear so I figured there must be some good fishing around the area. The tide was coming in pretty good around lunch time and it made me wonder about the fishing. I know there is some decent fishing around the lanark reef. Anybody care to share some other locations for trout/bsb/redfish?

The grass between Lanark and Carrabelle is always a good. The tops of the steep ledges of the marked channel that runs by the west end of Lanark Reef out to Dog Island can be good at times.
