Also...before the storm

Post by RedHillsTurkeyCalls »

Thursday

Fish weren't as active as I'd expected, but did get a few along with this upper slot. Feeding em live bait.

Great site, longtime reader, new member.

Thanks for the report. Welcome aboard. What's your skiff? The background in the shot was only a teaser.

welcome aboard RedHills. Sounds like you have the same problem I do in the spring, turkey or redfish or both. The "both" days are getting fewer as it wipes my old tail out.
Ducks, turkeys, flats fishing. Who has time for golf?

For sure. I'm a half time transplant from South Tampa Bay below the Skyway and have inshore fished my entire life. Few years back when we started getn out up here it kinda sold me on metal with how and where I like to fish. But ya can knock a foot off of either.

You need 3 different boats around here!

The extension is a fixed length cheapo...better than an adjustable but still should be stiffer. Think I picked it up at Academy.

Im looking to put together a tunnel with a HJP, but may go with a tiller style.

If HJP means jet....I'd really contemplate that idea.

Every Yamaha dealer I talked to said up here there is way to much grass float.

I was thinking about it too.
