Headed out about 7:30. First spot I pulled up to was Sprague point. I didn't stay long as the wind and waves were trying to push me straight into the bank. I decided to try Big Pass. After a few cast I managed to boat a 19.5" redfish. The wind again was trying to push me into the bank so I figured I would head out to deeper water and try for some trout. I really need to get a trolling motor.
I fished to the west of the lighthouse for a little while without much luck. Headed towards the rock garden. I fished anywhere from 3'-7' of water without to much success. All I managed for the rest of the day was a very short trout, lady fish, and a rock bass. Should have spent more time looking for a flounder to get an inshore slam. Off the water by 12:30.
The water was very dirty. Even by the rock garden in 4' of water I still could not see bottom. I imagine the storms from last week have stired up the water and pushed sediment off land making things more dirty. Lots of boaters out today.
