The trout bite was slooooooow today. The front that moved through yesterday must've really shut them down. Our cast to bite ratio was easily 50:1. Fortunately, the redfish didn't seem to mind the weather. We managed to catch 4 reds this morning (21", 22", 24", 24") on topwater near Rocky Point in 1.5 foot of water. This afternoon, the fish bag was empty. Only managed to boat 1 short trout and 4 ladyfish. Going out again in the morning. Hopefully the warmer temps in the morning will get them munching again.

How was the wind? Water clarity? Water temp?
Re: Steinhatchee 11/3
Wind was blowing 10-15 most of the day. Water clarity was surprisingly good. Could see bottom in 5 foot of water. Water temp was 72.SoberAngler wrote:How was the wind? Water clarity? Water temp?

Thanks for the report. Good job on the reds. High pressure conditions make it tough.
