Went out of the fort to check some stone crab traps. Weather was terrible in the morning. It was windy and heavy rain/wind as the front moved through. After that it got pretty nice. No stone crabs, anybody have any recommendations for bait or location?
The wind kept the tide from moving and the fishing was slow. We moved up and down the river but never found the bite. We managed four keeper trout and some lady fish.
We fished jigs and live shrimp under corks.
Heard there was an accident at the boat ramp yesterday. ya'll be safe out there.
