Inshore Econfina report

Post by tabb »

Most everything was feeding Wednesday. Bite was steady even during slack tide.
Fished from about 10:00 until 2:30. Limit of trout, one Spanish, a flounder and rock bass.
Lots of shorts including a few undersized flounder. Was going to drop off my partner and head back to try for a red but ended up towing some guys in an Express. I sure was proud of my 30 year old fish n ski barge getting the job done plus a limit of trout.

Caught fish in about 4 feet of water with chartreuse and white gulps. Some under a popping cork but most jigging slow. Fish were fat and healthy. The biggest trout was just over 20inches and Spanish was close to 20.
Hope to go back Sunday.

Best trip I have had in the last few years.

Nice day and thumbs up for being a good boater.
