This coming weekend

Anyone going? I am planning a trip to Econfina. It’s been a while but I need some saltwater.
Any reports from Econfina?

Expect plenty of company, as the Seatrout Shootout and NFGFC tournaments will both be underway at first light Saturday.

Bluespinner found a few earlier this week.

I like it when they run through my drift.
Hopefully tournament fishermen will have boat/fishing etiquette.

Really? I never noticed that I drove my boat differently when I was in a tournament vs. not competing.... My bet is most of the members of this forum will be in one or both of those tournaments.

Not really Mr Steve, I didn’t mean that as you took it. I guess what I meant was, if a guy is an A hole, then putting some money/competition on there, may make him more likely to act like an A hole... I certainly wasn’t suggesting that people who fish tourneys are a holes. And when there were redfish involved, I used to fish this tourney a lot. But I do know guys that drive harder during tourneys. Ashley and Casey would run from steinhachee to aucilla in an aluminum boat on a small craft advisory. They probably wouldn’t do that unless cash and bragging rights were on the line. Sorry about the confusion ( not everyone fishing in the tournament is as stand up as you seem to be, there is a reason that Brian has lie detector tests for his tournaments, just sayin)

From my experience most the time it's the ones who don't pay attention to the wind and how someone's drift is going.

Your tournament folks are probably some of the most considerate boaters out there. They don’t want to fish next to others either. It’sthe Folks who don’t know any better that are the issue in my experience. Try to educate them; most understand basic signing :D
In the end we will conserve only what we love. We will love only what we understand. And we will understand only what we are taught.
