Quality, Not Quanity

Post by fishTheBend »

With the strong tidal coefficient we went out of the Fort instead of St. Marks refuge.

Fished one of the bars in the mouth of St. Marks. Saw one monster bull red and some sheepshead, but didn't catch anything.

Headed west away from the armada of fishermen in the river and found reds in and around rocks including a 26" in the box.
Flats were pretty much empty where we were. Went up a creek and landed 22, 21, 17 inch trouts which we threw back.

We had to work a bit for the fish, and seems like that's been the case last few trips this month, but its been quality over quantity
each time.

Fish were caught on jigs, flies, and top-water.
