Negative low tides

Alright folks need some help. I have been dragging my kayak to the back of Stoney Bayou for about 4-5 months now. My question is this. I have not hit any of the negative tides coming up. If I get out in a -.6 or -.4 tide can I get back to the spillway in my yak without having to pull it most of the way?

Thanks
John

Better sleep in and then eat your Wheaties before you go. New moon Saturday combined with strong north winds and there won't be a lot of water anywhere for awhile.

Thanks...Planning on going Tuesday with a -.4 at 11:33AM which puts it a little later in SB right. So hopefully can fish outgoing and try to get back before it gets tooooo skinny. Hope wind holds down. We will see. Can't go this weekend.

I've done it many times although it's been a while. At a negative tide you would have to drag your kayak a good ways through pretty nasty mud. I would wait until you have .5 or more of water before doing so. Also if you are looking at the tide times for SM lighthouse it is about 1.5-2 hours later in the back of Stoney. Also as Dave mentioned, wind plays a big factor in the amount of water that's back there. Good Luck!
