Some of you may or may not have heard about this campain to raise money for Bonnie Griner, who is fighting her battle with Cystic Fibrosis(CF). Her story has been in the local papers. The time has come for a double lung transplant as her health is deteriating. Bonnie is a very close dear friend of mine and many many others. We all have banned together to help raise money to help with the expenses her and her husband Nick will have pre and post surgery. Duke University will undergo the procedure. Bonnie and Nick leave next week for Duke to live. They have to pull up camp and live there one year before the transplant as she will be undergoing physical therapy to prepare for the transplant. They will also have to continue to live up there post op to be monitored and for her body to except her new lungs. There will be many more fundraisers in the upcoming months. There have already been a few and over $20,000 has been raised. I will post up all the links to her story and where anyone could help by donating. We are having a bass tourney next month and I hope some of you coud participate. I know there is a lot of members here from Moultrie and surrounding areas. Fish anywhere you like just have to make it to the weigh in on time. I would like to thank anyone now that can either donate or particapate in any of the fundraisers.
