I USE TO USE AN OLD FLY ROD, TIED A LINE ABOUT 10 FT. LONG AND PUT A BUMBLE BEE POPPER, BLACK AND YELLOW, AND JUST PITCH IT OUT IN FRONT OF THE CANOE AND POP IT A COUPLE OF TIME AND THEN DO IT AGAIN, HAVE CAUGHT MANY SPECKS THAT WAY ALONG WITH MANY BASS AND BREAM.

If there is no wind I like to use the small sebile stick shad or a small rapala broken back. It usually works best at dusk.
