I have never been more proud of a fish.
Put in this morning at the Fort about an hour before low tide. We worked harder than a one legged man in a three legged race today to find fish. We fished from 7:30 til 3:00 straight. Had to work at it today with the water as low as it was this morning. We started out the day with 55 degrees and a steady north wind, blowing all of the water out. Ended the day in the high 70's with a steady south wind blowing on an incoming tide. It was crazy trying to fish creek mouths with the current. We went from one extreme to another.
Today we fished: Flats, oyster bars, creeks, creek mouths, spotty bottom close in, and shoreline.
All total in the boat:
Dad: 3 trout - no keepers, 1 BIG Blue, 1 pin fish.
Me: 1 trout (15") and 1 Red (18')
Cold run out this morning, beautiful sunrise, clear blue skies, good company. Great day on the water.
