Great day on the water. Conditions were 1-3' and short sleave weather around noon. Caught the tail end of the bite from 0800-1000 on the outgoing tide. Boxed 5 fish to 28". We hooked up on a monster fish that we fought for 20 minutes. He kept moving from rock to rock and we could not do anything with him w/ a TLD20 and 100lb leader. All three on board tried to pull him up. He finally broke off--thought I was going to break my Allstar rod. Wonder if it was a Jew fish? He fought different than a gag.
Moved to deeper water in the afternoon 33 miles out (60') and boxed 7 more fish in quick order on stretch 30s when tide turned on. Lost some big fish that straightened the hooks. Largest was 31" or 17lbs.
Logged 94.5 miles on the GPS. Motor ran 10 hours. 4 Stroke 200 Burned 32 gallons.
Getting ready to fry throats for dinner. Hmmm Hmmm good.
