Anyone wanna call "BS" on this guy?

This area is for general discussions about fishing, rigging, baits, etc.

While I can't see why it couldn't be done, I don't really see any point in it beyond gratifying this guys ego.

Kind of like these guys who try to get a boat close enough to nail a flying gaff in a Marlin while it is hooked up on 8 lb line.

Maybe comparing it to jumping out of a perfectly good airplane would be a more kind analogy.

The marlin chaps comment on the day he caught the fish, "I think it was the 4th August", sounds odd.
My view is you would remember the exact date that happened, for the rest of your life.

The pictures look hard to fake though, so I suppose he gets the benefit of the doubt.

Light tackle angling does raise the age old question, of whether it causes unnecessary stress to the fish, by having to play it so long, especially if it is to be released.

If you will notice he was in a Panga trolling for it, then transfered to the kayak. Lots of west coast guys do that....I compare it to trolling for marlin with a teaser then throwing a fly at it......

Some more extreme yak fishing....

Guess I'm gett'n old. This stuff sorta strikes me as something akin to having a Cajun Thunder big nuff to ride on! :o
"Good Judgement" comes from experience, ... and a lot of that..... results from "Bad Judgement".
