How do you catch mid-range Reds?

Post by volfan »

I haven't fished for them much but I have only caught either small or large redfish. The small(under 2#)have been caught while targeting trout. The 2 large (33#, 36#) have been caught pier and surf fishing. I've tried topwater but with no luck. The small one's were caught on jigs and shrimp. What am I doing wrong? :(
