Magellan Meridian GPS

Anyone running one of these? Pros/Cons? I found a good deal on them $99.00 only comes with 2mb of memory, but you can expand up to 64 mb.

I tried to steal Toms GPSMap 76 the other day, but he got it back some how   .

The first link SeaFox, click it

Mapsend mapping software from Venice to Biloxi is $280.00
64 mb card is +/- $80.00

Total $460.00

I can get a GPSMAp 76 for $250.00 and Mapsource CD for $85.00 (probably free, Tom  ), so it might not be a good of a deal after all, look good at first

Chalk, I bought one of those from Wally-World for about 2 days. I turned it on at the house and played with it some, then I hooked the boat up and headed to the Icky. Got the boat unloaded and turned it on, but it didn't come on. I fooled with it for a while, even replaced the new batteries with brand spanking new batteries to no avail. I finally gave up and went fishing.
On the ride home I picked it up and hit the power button and the dad-gum thing came right on  . If I didn't have about $200 in that thing I would of seen how big a dent I could have put in one of those street signs   .Needles to say I took it back the next day, then went to West Marine and bought my Garmin 76.
I'll never buy another Magellan, but thats just my two cents.
