6wt and a few Rainbows in Tallahassee

Post by jsuber »

Went to the Docs pond in North Tallahassee and picked up a few Rainbows fishing near the bottom with a Purple Fly. Not a bad way to spend a Christmas eve morning.

PA - DOC'S IS AN OLD PLANTATION NORTH OF TALLAHASSEE WITH SEVERAL PONDS. HE BRINGS THE TROUT IN EACH YEAR AND STOCKS THE PONDS. THEY ARE NOT NATIVE TO THE AREA.

13426 Meridian Road North

Call Dr. Allee at 850 893-7772 before you make the trip. He may have more accurate directions and they want you to call before coming.

Its about 4.5 miles north of Bannerman Road which you can get to by going North on Thomasville road (about 5 miles) from I 10. Turn left on Bannerman until it dead ends into Meridian Rd. and turn right. Then drive about 4.5 miles (its on the left) . You will see a big white fence on the left...then a sign on the right that says "Hidden drive" on a curve.. then its the third mail box on the left (look for the address on the mail box).
