Do they make something that I can put over the skeg on my Yamaha for protection?

Yes....deeper water. :lol:

Actually there are a couple of products on the market that do it. I know Jerry's B&T advertises one that may be made locally. You can call Scott and ask him about it.

I got A product for my Yammy 90 called "Skeg Guard" it is A stainless steal covering that goes over the skeg it was A little over $100 and was easy to install with drill and screw driver. It also does not effect performance.

There is another product made of A tuff nylon type plastic, around $40, that protects the skag and the prop. It also provides lift like A Dol-Fin to help getting on plane. I have seen them at the FS fishing show. I think they are made locally. I read A thread on another forum that spoke positivly of them generally, but also said they provided drag and thus effected performance.
