To fish, or not to fish, . . . those are the answers.

Reason enough for me to stay out of a kayak.....well, that and my phat arse!
It may be that my sole purpose in life is simply to serve as a warning to others.

Funny as heck. I had a goose like that at my farm for years. The only person he didn't like was my wife. She would get out of the car and here he would running. We played goose football with him. He would come running in and either my son or my self would boot him away. They can be some ornery creatures.
Its a wonderful day in the neighborhood!

Do you remember the post I reported a couple of years ago where a pelican at the mouth of Aucilla River, right in front of the tripod, attacked me, and bit me on the arm. Liked to scared me to death. Some birds can be dangerous. This goose is one....my pelican was another.

That is some funny stuff. I think we would be lookin' at a goose dinner after that.
Re: BEWARE DANGEROUS GEESE ST MARKS RIVER!!!!
laughing out loud. Had to show a co-worker what I was watching.
In the end we will conserve only what we love. We will love only what we understand. And we will understand only what we are taught.

I went to lunch alone today and I started thinking about this video. I started laughing out-loud at the resturant (I was by myself).
I think the funniest part is that the goose is still hanging around wanting another part of the guy after he is in the water and his buddy comes over. Like a boxer disgusted that his opponent got knocked out in the early rounds.

They got a real long handle below their bill to hold onto. Use it.

Re: BEWARE DANGEROUS GEESE ST MARKS RIVER!!!!
When I was in school at Auburn we used to go bass fishing at Chewaukla (sp?) State Park near there. We would rent a canoe and get out in the lake and fish around the edges and sloughs. I was absolutely assaulted by two geese aparently protecting a nest somewhere. Almost caused me to fall out of the boat and I dropped a pole in the water we could never get back. My buddy stood up and swatted at them with the paddles and we finally got far enough away they backed off. Two weeks later, they had a sign posted at the entrance of that little slough saying "Beware of Nesting Geese." Later, it became a good laugh but it was not at the time.
