I've been trying to find a good place to launch a kayak on the St. Marks river that leads to good fishing and is also not a super long paddle to productive grounds. If anyone with more knowledge about the area than I do would be kind enough to help a fellow angler out I'd much appreciate it. I just started FSU and fishing the big bend and it has proved to be alot harder fishing than i'm used to at home. (4 kayak trips with nothing to show but some catfish and a stingray).
Thanks for your help and I look forward to being an active member of your board for the next few years.

You could go to St.Marks lighthouse and launch from the beach and just start fishing.
OR
You could go to Panacea and launch at Bottoms rd. and just start fishing.
OR
You could go to Wakulla Beach and launch and just start fishing.
OR
You could go to Sand n Surf rd at Alligator Point and launch and just start fishing.

Part of that is just water temps... Over the next month fishing will get better.
JT gave you some great places to go...

1st, go to www.fcka.net and click on launches. Then register and search the fishing reports. You'll discover a whole bunch of places. Also, post in the going fishing section and you'll probably find someone willing to let you tag a long.
Mostly, stick with it. You will continue to have better luck every trip.
