Got out on the water for the first time this year. Left the house late because of the cold weather. Thought it would warm up to shorts weather but it never did all day. Fishing was slow, but we did manage to get our limit by the end of the day. Fished 1.5 - 3 foot in between econfina and rock island, all were caught on gulps under a CT. Great day on the water but unfortunately I hit a deer on the way home outside of wacissa Looking foward to getting back out there soon.

You did way better than we did. What water temps did you see? Sorry about the deer.

Nice work!
Re: Econfina 3/12/11
We started about an hour before low tide, about noon. It was slow around the creek mouths, except for a few puppy reds. Then we moved out to 4' and began drifting with the SW winds around 2:30. When we hit the 3' depth and 62 degrees, we caught our first trout. We had a nice limit within a couple of hours. All fish were caught on a variety of plugs, no jigs or gulps on this trip. As the water warms to 68-72, it should get better and better.

Water temp was 59 when we got ou the river and was at 63 by the end of the day.
