Golden Bone on da Fly!
The Lake is finally down to Summer Pool so the Hewes can get back on the flats in search of some Carp on the fly! Didn't see as many "mudders" today, but did go 1 for 5 on cruising fish before storms ran us off.
Good fun watching this dude chase the fly down and eat!!
I think the TFO BVK 7wt is the perfect setup for these dudes!

It's a Rainy's Brown Carp - Teaser

From my limited experience they're definitely vacuuming the bottom when muddin so they're eating for sure...... if they're shallow enough they tail just like a Red or Bonefish..... pretty cool to watch. That gives them up and you can ease over to figure out which way they're headed so you can put the fly in front of them. This dude was cruising around some trees (my left, camera right) and would come out and then go back... I finally got lucky and put a fly in front of him when he came out into an opening... he turned on that fly and hammered it! Very cool eat!
Always looking!! Thanks!Barhopr wrote:You looking for a sponsor?KyTrkyHntr wrote: I think the TFO BVK 7wt is the perfect setup for these dudes!
