Last weekend I hit the Wacissa and while flowing with the current I saw a crawfish (destroyed) on the river floor. It got me thinking...man is there a healthy crawfish population out here? If so, has anyone attempted to net or trap these guys? Does anyone have any advice on creating a trap or how how to catch them? Appreciate any help!

Re: Crawfish trap?
Yes there are crawfish traps made for sale. Search the internet. Some traps are better made than others so chose carefully. Can't give a first hand report other than interest several years ago. Did my research, bought two traps and dry weather dried up all the water. Then I lost interest. I wanted to trap crawfish and use for bait.

Do a google search for Trapper Arnie. I have bought traps from him and get his monthly news letter.
