Pensacola Yak Sail

Post by silverking »

The boyfriend of my buddy's daughter was soaking a mullet for blackfin tuna off Pensacola Beach this week and this is what he caught instead.

Nice fish, but that's stretching the limits of kayak fishing IMO. I'd rather stand up and touch bottom if I tip over. :D

My eyes fooling me, silverking, or did your buddy's daughter's boyfriend end up with the hook through the outside of his pinky finger? Not that it matters that much, as he looks excited enough not to care.

He may have BBG, but I deleted the larger photos off the computer so I can't verify.

But you're right, I don't think he cared, regardless. Oh, to be young, brash and invincible again! At least I still retain one of those traits.

News over the wire about a Swedish angler who landed and released a 1,247-pound Greenland shark from a kayak. The shark was estimated to be more than 200 years old. In addition to an incredible life span, Greenland sharks have neurotoxins in their flesh which can cause serious problems when ingested.

Photos and clip of the catch here:
