Through the month is what I was told yesterday. I like the rod, not sure about that reel.mpa_72001 wrote:How long they on sale for?

Picked one up yesterday. $75 is a great deal for this rod alone. Reel is a little heavy but seems smooth. I have 5 or 6 stradics and none of them have been smooth more than one fishing season. Overall worth the money and they even spooled it with power pro for $6. Can't beat that!

Are there different size rods and that all the same model/length?

They were all 7'2" medium heavy (or medium fast, whichever they call it). Picked one up this morning. They had about 20 left on the rack. Hard to beat that deal.leonreno wrote:Are there different size rods and that all the same model/length?

If that is true, you may need to go over your post use cleaning strategy. A Stradic should work well for over a year. You may want to get Jim to service them also. I have some old stradics from the 90's that are still going strong, just need a new roller bearing from time to time.Trailer Trout wrote:Picked one up yesterday. $75 is a great deal for this rod alone. I'll also mention that a friend had one of those wright McGill reels and it worked ok, but when it came time to service it, Jim couldn't get parts for it. It's in the trash heap now

Gonna swing in there on the way home, mine broke late last summer when putting down the bimini top snapped about 4 inches off of it:(
