Aucilla with Stinson

Post by Jumptrout51 »

Steve Stinson and I launched from the "new" Aucilla River ramp about 7:30 this morning.
That is a nice ramp.
Went out to the flats and caught a nice mess of trout including 2 over 20".
Topwater worked pretty good early.
Later in the day fish came on grubs and soft jerk baits.
A couple nice mackeral/flounder and large seabass rounded out our box full of fish.
Caught a short grouper too.
Back on the trailer by 3 p.m.

Nice and congrats. I guess some of your stocked holes are paying off.

How deep were you when you caught the grouper, and were you on grass or rocky/sand?

The grouper came off rocky bottom in about 10 feet.

He was using a bone colored spook, that is what he catches all his top water fish on, because that is the only top water plug he throws.
