I recently used Tim Edwards in carrabelle to go snapper and grouper fishing he is a very good captain and we caught some really nice fish and actually we are going back in a couple weeks with him again. He uses a 37' boat that can fish 6 people comfortably. If your interested in more info PM me and i will send you his cell number

#1 Capt. Blake Gardner - 850-509-7585 Reel Smoker Charters - younger guy. FAST & safe boat. 32 foot Cape Horne with twin 300's
Caught lots of fish and he was fun to fish with. Can put you on good bottom fish but also knows how to catch big Kings and AJs
I can tell he loves it - he fishes a lot of the local tournaments.
Here is a post about my trip with him. http://www.bigbendfishing.net/phpBB3/vi ... =3&t=38011

#2 Capt. Dusty Long - 850-528-7016 Big wide safe boat but slow. 32 foot custom with diesel engine. Looks like a commercial boat.
Again knows his spots and put us on good fish. A little more "old style"
Here is a post about my trip with him. http://www.bigbendfishing.net/phpBB3/vi ... =3&t=38073

Both run out of Panacea.
Barry Bevis, Realtor and Owner of BigBendFishing.net
I liked it so much, I bought the company ;-)

where do you want to launch from? If willing to go to Pensacola then book Capt. Chaz Heller. I posted a report a couple weeks ago. A limit of kings and snapper is standard. We wanted to do more so he took us to some rigs and we caught a little tuna, a tile fish and some scamps. He can pretty much chase whatever you want.

Out of Mexico Beach I've used Chip Blackburn, Miss Mary, and had some great trips.

I'm not too familiar with charters out of Carrabelle or Panacea.
In the end we will conserve only what we love. We will love only what we understand. And we will understand only what we are taught.

Out of Port St. Joe I use Capt Kenny, Doghouse Charters. Never fails to catch fish, although he is most likely booked unless he has had a cancellation. 41' boat that can fish 6 comfortably. 850-527-9530

Thanks for all the replies. Not set to go out of anywhere in particular. There will be six of us. Just want to catch a good box of fish( not a big fan of grunts). If will be the first time for all of us.

In Panama City look up Reel Addiction Charters with Capt. Mickey Locke - 850-768-2327. This guy is good, brings in nice grouper, snapper, and often times a blackfin makes its way into the box. You can see his trip photos on his facebook page "ReelAddiction Charters".
