Big dry air mass finally pushing down near us and one update I watched this morning said it should push dry air and shear into the storm as it approaches central FL... last update also shifted storm every so slightly east.

Additional good news is that it stayed over Cuba long enough to weaken it a bit and it didn't ever regain a tight eye wall as it went over the FL straits.

Growing ***GUARDEDLY*** optimistic that we may dodge the worst of the bullet... but still going to watch the updates like a hawk.

Pretty detailed morning update for those who might want to watch. Video is posted on Facebook but don't think you have to actually login or have an account to watch. Don't hear sound for first 5 or 10 seconds, wait... it will kick in.

Lots of high gusts here yesterday. Power went out at 3AM and is still not back on. Generators are humming. Thankful that it is nice and cool!

Any word about the area around Keaton Beach? Hope it wasn't as bad as it looked.

Trees down and some wind damage, but no storm surge like they had with Hermine last year.
