After the storm

Post by eightwt »

I assume our Big Bend area was churned up fairly well, but not with a huge amount of rain. Just wondering how long will clarity be messy? I imagine the fishing is affected, maybe better or worse? Thanks

I was kinda wondering the same sort of thing. Anyone been out in the past day or two? How was the bite?

Didn't fish but did take the big boat for a shakedown run and the water in the St marks/Wakulla was shockingly clear(probably due to the springs taking over for awhile.

How's the lighthouse boat ramp? Road open? Ramp & channel clear?

I read on one of the forums that the crazy low tide cause by sustained north wind caused fish kills. Haven't been back down yet, coming to Tally tomorrow and St. Mark's on Saturday.

Lighthouse road & ramp are clear. Channel has lots of floating grass clumps but there's lots of mullet active in the channel on out to the tip of the oyster bar

Went out of Keaton yesterday. Water seemed normal, maybe a little more stained toward Dallus Creek, nothing out of the ordinary. Managed a few reds and some trout.
