SYNTHETIC STUCCO

Post by Larboy »

I have a small project consisting of applying a thin layer of synthetic stucco to the dome of a wood fired oven. Live NE of Tallahassee in the Bradley Country Store area. Any suggestions of someone to apply synthetic stucco?
Thank you,
Larry

There is a place on Highway 319 just south of Capital Circle. Its on the left. It's a supplier of the products. They can hook you up. If the oven is warm It will melt the foam. The coatings can be applied over concrete board or durock. I think the place is Prime Stucco but I can't remember for sure. Hope this helps.

Thank you for the feedback. The outdoor oven has an insulated, firebrick dome with a painted stucco finish. The stucco has developed some small, cosmetic hairline cracks. The California manufacturer will pay to have a thin coat of synthetic stucco applied and painted. I just need to find someone to do it. The dome is well insulated. Internal temp of oven can be 900 degrees and the exterior is cool to the touch.
Thanks again,
Larry

Tell them you want a double layer of mesh with basecoat. This should stop the cracks unless There is too much movement from expansion due to heat.
I've been in the stucco business for 35 years but I'm in LaGrange Ga.

Thank you for the feedback. Barry Bevis, I think you have fished with my son, Chris Baker.
