I hate to see the rain since the water still hasn't cleared from the past rains but we could use the rain over here. I for one hope we get a frog strangler. :-D

I really hope this thing stays rather calm and does not graduate to a Cat 2 or greater. At the speed that this thing is moving, it will be in and out fairly quickly - about the only positive from this storm. The other caveat on this is that because this popped up so aggressively and is moving so quickly, many people will not have time to prepare and will be left in a world of hurt if it does graduate to a stronger scale.

Either way - good luck everyone. If your boat doesn't have wheels yet... now is a good time to get them installed so that you can drive them off the marsh after the storm.

Luvly. I've got 6 beater kayaks hidden from East River to Econfina, anchored down in the marsh adjacent to tidal creeks. I'll be happy if I have 3 left on Friday.

Are your insurance premiums all paid?

Plenty of dock lines with chafe guards, make sure the bilge pump is working and keep your fingers crossed. Latest tracks show a slight shifting to the west, which will be good for us.

With the potential of a 10 ft tidal surge on the way, we may be able to find them on hwy 98 :smt101

I take that back! Posted yesterday when this thing was nothing more than a big rain storm.. Now they're showing the current path to hit Panama City area as possibly a Cat 3. Got the generator fueled and ready for several days without power. Hold on, this might be a good un. :hammer:
