Spent the day running around checking hard bottom in the 25ft range due south of the lighthouse. Visibility was top to bottom, could see the structure from the boat. Water at the surface was 85. Nothing to shoot but spanish mackerel everywhere we checked. Didn't see a grouper or cobia all day.
Tried to drop in on Dog Ballard, St Marks reefs but just way too many boats sitting on top of them to get in the water. Holiday weekend boating. =/

How big were the spanish? We caught some decent size on Saturday, but yesterday only schoolies.

Spanish were in the 20" range. Mostly singles or doubles though, didn't see any schools.
