POSSIBLE FALL SNAPPER SEASON?

Post by Rhodes »

So when should we expect a announcement as to whether or not there will be a fall reopening if quota is available? Would this be weekends only or a string of days you think?

I hope they do. The snapper are all over the place in 60-65 feet of water. We caught 30-40 last weekend (8/24) trying to fish for grouper. We couldn't get our baits down to the grouper before the snapper would snatch it up. We caught some really nice fish too...some close to 30 lbs.
