Nice job, guys.
As someone who accompanied Gary on one of his fishing treks I can attest to the endurance--and craziness--required.
Biked, hiked and waded to the first spot and almost stepped on a 5-foot gator within the first 20 yards. Lots of slogging, some quality fish, more biking along the levees and finally back to the truck and I was exhausted. Tip my hat to his perseverance.
The subsequent article I wrote for TIDE magazine is still one of my all-time favorites.

Really enjoyed sitting down with Gary. I think we could have sat and talked with him for an hour. He has a wealth of knowledge and his stories in the refuge are remarkable!!
