Wood strip canoe
Took a few years in my spare time, but I finally finished the wood strip canoe.
I can see all the imperfections, but at the end of the day if floats, it's got good balance, and it tracks straight.
Time for a new project!

Looks great! I thought I was the only one around here that was into canoes! I started mine in mid-April and it took me about 6 weeks to finish. Granted, I'm out of work because of the virus and could devote all day to working on it. It's been a blast to take out. Took it down some rapids up in North Georgia and added some character marks to it! Mine's tough as nails, stable, and fast. I just never got around to posting it on here. I'm hoping this virus mess tamps down some because I have been wanting to do the Float the Flint with it.

Very nice! You're a quicker builder than I am.
Hope to get out & scuff it up some more soon.

Beautiful handiwork, guys. Those really are cool projects.
Another forum I frequent, Microskiff.com, has had several threads from members who have built their own technical poling skiffs from plans (epoxy and composite strips). I certainly admire these skills. Don't think I want to tackle one myself, though, as I don't relish the thought of divorce court. So I'll just paddle along vicariously.
