I can't help and would guess your best bet would be to either send it back to the factory for repair or buy a new one. The cost to repair could easily be more than the cost of a new one.

Radio shack in Perry can take care of that

Google search shows Radio Shack in Perry closed. They shut all the stores down in Tallahassee, bankruptcy I believe.

Spinner, it may be worth a call to George's Marine Electronics in Pensacola. They do a lot of boat installs/repairs and may be able to help you out.

I just called standard Horizon about my ram external command mic that was no longer working. They said for $60 they would fix it even though it was 16 years old. So you might want to call the manufacturer of the units.

FWIW I went ahead and bought a new system so if anyone is looking for a vhf I have a SH vhf that’s works perfectly fine with the external mic that can be fixed as I mentioned above for cheap.

Cox electronics was housed in the radio shack in Perry. According to google they are still open but not radio shack anymore. They do more business as hunting season gets closer so I would suspect he is working.

There was a place just off Capital Circle NW, near the Sonic Drive In, that did the FWC install and repairs. They fixed my iCOM handheld some years back due to a warranty issue.
I checked the iCOM site for service centers and there was not one listed in Tallahassee which makes me think they are closed. BUT it might help to contact FWC and ask where they get their work done.
