Ecofina 7/22

Post by ugadawg »

Went to ecofina this morn with the family, put in around 9:30. Caught 5 keeper trout, several shorts, 1 nice spanish, and probably 20 sharks. My dad managed to catch a sea turtle on a jig under a CT, which we photographed and then sent him on his way. I not sure what kind of turtle it is, so I figured someone on here might know. So if you could tell me, i would appreciate it.
(My guess was a kemps ridley, but I know nothing about turtles)

well, when the turtle bites a grub you have to handle the turtle so he doesnt swim off with a hook in his mouth. Call it harassing if you will, but it seems to be in the turtles best interest if he gets uncaught.

Actually, I think he removed the danger by pulling out the jig. Small wounded turtle with big piece of lead. Sounds like an easy meal too me.

Good job on the fish!

I should actually change my location to Lawrenceville. Not far from the Gwinnett airport.
