Got a late start due to watching the weather but decided to go for it it was a little sloppy going through the cut but once we were outside it was managable. we had tried for some live bait but it was really scarce so we headed on out to the east to about 35-40 ft tried several spots with nothing doing except some ok kings so then we moved out to the SW to about 50 ft caught a few short grouper and a couple of grunts and some more kings then some sharks moved in we caught several of them and moved on to abour 65 ft at this location things started to improve we were still catching short grouper but they were a little better caught a short cobia soon after that we had a triple hook up on some GIANT redfish these guys were in the 30lb range I must say reel fun we caught several more kings the best at about 30lb time to go home seas had calmed down and the run in was nice. al in all had a great day on the water. we were anchoring and most of the kings were caught on a dead cigar or ly hooked on a king rig with a stinger also got some of them on the bottom rigs. there out there go get um.
