Went out ot Dickerson Bay last night and had some pretty good luck catching Reds on topwater Skitter Walks. The wind died down to nothing, the water was calm at the top of and incoming tide, and the sun was just starting to sit behind the trees. The rod and reel were casting perfectly. No wind knots, or backlash. My kayak laid up in the water in the right direction without having to be coaxed around. It was just a perfect afternoon to fish. I had a few hits but this one got the hook. Mr Redfish just annihalated the Skitterwalk and put up a tremendous fight. Pound for pound Redfish are just flat out fun to catch. I finally got him to the net and he says "Hi!" Nice little 24 " and very fat.
Notice teh sun setting in my glasses. Sorry for the bad pictues.
