Bugleash II

Post by Good Times »

Got inspired by NoleFear and Chalk. Decided to do the hand twisted leader first and then if that didn't work, build one of the jigs. I like hand braiding because I can keep a piece of mono in my pocket to work on when I need a break. So after a few prototypes here's what I came up with tonight.

8ft./3 section furled leader made out of 10lb Fenwick Mono.

The loop on the butt end (8 strands of mono)

Transition from the butt of the leader to the mid section (4 strands of mono)

Transition from the mid section to the tip of the leader (two strands of mono)

The end loop. I'll add 10 - 12 inches of 20lb flouro to this to give me a 9ft leader.

This is a great feeling leader. Makes a great loop and transfers the energy evenly. Can't wait to put it to good use.
