Need a smoked tuna dip recipe
I know there are a bunch of pros in this group that could help me out. Decided to have a little "hurricane" party Saturday night and I have 3 nice tuna steaks in the freezer. I am already smoking a boston butt and want to try my hand at some tuna dip as well. I looked around online but didn't find anything that stood out, but I am sure some of you guys have some good ones. Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks!!

Cream cheese, mayo, lime juice, hot sauce, garlic, jalapenos, green onion, Worcestershire. I never measure, just add until it tastes right.

We do almost exactly what tom wrote... If it needs a little more kick add some liquid smoke!

give me the tuna steaks so I can cook the the way they should be, grilled over hickory or pecan coals, drizzled with garlic butter sauce and capers. Then go buy canned can tuna and follow above recipe.

I got some more steaks we can cook up that way, I just want to try this once and see if its any better than the other kind.Barhopr wrote:give me the tuna steaks so I can cook the the way they should be, grilled over hickory or pecan coals, drizzled with garlic butter sauce and capers. Thanks for all the ideas, I will post pictures when its done.
Re: Need a smoked tuna dip recipe
Instead of canned Tuna, you can use Kingfish for the same dip and it comes out great. The best thing I've found to do with Kingfish yet. Save the Tuna steaks for fine seared (rare) table fare. Much better that way IMO.
