3rd Annual Forgotten Coast Kayak Anglers Classic Results
This is originally Suber's post. Jeff and crew did a great job once again.
Third Annual Forgotten Coast Kayak Fishing Classic is in the books. 157 anglers competed for kayaks, paddles, PFD’s, stake out poles, and pride. The wind was stiff at 15 to 20 mph out of the east and much better than the 50 mph gail force winds in 2009. The sponsors provided some great prizes including 7 brand new kayaks, AT paddles, Capt Dick Stakeout poles, MTI PFD’s, Wang stakeout poles, and lots of other goodies.
There were 1255.65 inches of fish caught. 751.8 inches of Redfish, 325.5 inches of trout, 97.55 inches of Flounder, and 80.8 inches of freshwater bass. The first division to receive prizes was the:

I'm gonna have to take some lessons from the Youth Division winner, Benjamin Colona. Way to go, Ben!
To fish, or not to fish, . . . those are the answers.

It was great fun for a worthwhile cause. Creeks don't rise, I'll be there next year! Perhaps I will catch a good sized fish on Tourney day instead on practice days.

The fishing was tough with low tides and high winds, but the tourney was run very well and we had a great time.

Looks like a great crowd!
It may be that my sole purpose in life is simply to serve as a warning to others.

Nice work guys!
In the end we will conserve only what we love. We will love only what we understand. And we will understand only what we are taught.
