Lake Jackson history

Post by Mister Mullet »

Is there anybody out there that remembers when they dumped the school bus in Porter Hole Sink? Also, does anyone have information on Red and Sam's Bait and Tackle? Working on a story. Jerry Gerardi

This isn't what you wanted, but here is a neat article written a few days ago that should give you some real history of the lake. I think I got this from a previous post on this forum. Still a good read. Go to page 158 (the original page 158 as printed on the pages).

Red and Sam's was a happening place in the early 70s! The bait shop, the restaurant, bar and dance floor! Great fishing! Great hamburger steak, plenty of booze and great butt kicking if you messed with the wrong guys or girls!

That was a really neat story. A bit of insight into life in Tallahassee in 1842. Thanks.
