Well went fishing today with a friend today. Went south of DOG ISLAND in about 37 feet. Caught a black sea bass that had a blue spot covering both eye's and the blue spot went back just a little bit. Has anyone else caught a black sea bass that had blue spot covering the eye'e. Just wondering cause I've only been saltwater fishing for about a year now.
This time of year is when the sea bass make little sea bass. The big males take on a blue color and grow a bump on their head for the reproductive time. We always call the big ones "blue heads" .
