Garfunkeled!!!

Post by KyTrkyHntr »

Well after spooking Carp all morning and watching them turn off my flies and not eat I decided to pick out a fatty Gar out of the hundreds that were rising around me.... The Carp hath forsaken me!! Awesome day to be out on the water slinging bugs!!!

At least I got a fight today!

Pa:

What do gar taste like?

Nothing....isn't a fishy, almost no taste. The consistancy is somewhat like lobster. Kind of tough and chewy but actually pretty good.

I'm talking about aligator gar not pond gar but they might taste the same?
