Good morning of tarpon fishing

I got up this morning at 5 am and headed to bald point hoping to catch my first tarpon I got their but my kayak in the water and I had been fishing for about 45 minutes with no action I had saw a couple tarpon roll but then I was sitting their and zzzzzzzzzz all I hear is drag peeling and about 45 minutes to a hour later I get it up to the kayak it was awsome !! And after that I had to more hook ups within 30 minutes both broke off!

That's awesome, if I may ask what were you using for bait/plugs etc ? Running out on Wednesday weather permitting.

Floating a pinfish and I will probably be out their

WE USE TO USE CATFISH FOR BAIT WHEN FISHING FOR TARPON. DOWN IN S.W. FLA. THAT IS ALL I EVER USED.

As in whole catfish? Geez! How'd you rig them?

The less I have to deal w catfish the better (unless im eating them!)
