VHF/GPS-Sounder Interference

Post by HiHo »

Going to install a 2nd VHf radio on my boat. The only space i have is next to my Furuno GPS/Sounder.

I have had some interference problems when trying to listen to a portable FM radio when it is sitting next to the Furuno. So I'm wondering if the same thing will happen with the VHF. Would hate to move it after drilling holes and routeing wires.

Also, is there some kind of filter that can be installed to prevent GPS/Radio interference?
Gotta love a woman who sleeps in just a T-shirt. :D
